Thank you! £12,000 raised for Friends of the Cancer Centre

Thank you for your support of ask an architect 2019 and doing your bit to make it such a success – we raised a total of approximately £12,000 for the Jill Todd Trust which will support clinical trials and cancer research in Northern Ireland through Friends of the Cancer Centre.  In particular thanks to Garage Door Systems and Keylite who ensured every penny raised went directly to the fight against cancer.

This initiative is now in its fourth year and it is thanks to the support of our partners and architects across Northern Ireland that we have been able to develop a greater awareness of ask an architect and the valuable services which architects offer the public.

In 2020, we hope to continue the upward trajectory of ask an architect and build on the success we have had to date, both in terms of supporting cancer research in Northern Ireland and in promoting the positive impact architects bring to the projects they work on.

100% of all funds raised by ‘ask an architect’ support Friends of the Cancer Centre and their cancer research through clinical trials, thanks to your donations and our fantastic sponsors who cover administrative costs and provide critical pro bono services.

The clinical trials supported by ask an architect are research studies involving patients. Through clinical trials, doctors can find new ways to treat certain types of cancer, improve existing treatments and improve the quality of life for patients, with the ultimate aim of improving a patient’s outcome.
